In 2019, Mark and Karen Comfort set out to create more than just an RV park—they dreamed of building a welcoming space where travelers could feel at home. As a veteran, woman, and Native-owned business, their vision was rooted in inclusivity, resilience, and community. Over four years, they transformed 3½ acres of forested land into Deer Meadow RV Park, powered by hard work, adaptability, and the support of those around them. Today, nestled in the heart of St. Helens, Oregon, the park stands as a peaceful haven where neighbors become friends and every guest is treated like family.
